This orange juice recipe is filled with nutrition and is sure to give you a healthy, clean burst of energy to you and your immune system.

It is so much easier to get all the nutrients you need from a single juice as opposed to having to incorporate the fruits and vegetables in meals. Making the perfect detox juice requires you to firstly identify the ideal outcome. This juice focuses on aiding the digestive system as well as the immune system.
Carrots – Carrots are extremely low in calories and are a great source of dietary fiber. They are also said to make you feel full which is perfect for a detox juice.
Cucumber – Cucumbers contain so many nutrients. They are also almost entirely made up of water so again – super low in calories. Cucumbers are great for your digestive system too and give this juice a really refreshing taste.
Apple – Apples are loaded with anti-oxidants and are really hydrating for your skin. Apples also contain lots of natural sweetness which makes this recipe extremely delicious.
Lemon – Lemons are packed with vitamin C with half a lemon containing almost all the vitamin C you need in a day. Lemons also contain dietary fiber which aids with digestion. Lemons also have diuretic properties which helps the body detoxify.
Orange – The orange in this recipe is to not only add a little sweetness to the juice but oranges are also great for the immune system and the digestive system.

Weight-loss Friendly Detox Juice Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Juicer – I used a blender which worked great. If using a blender, you would need to strain the juice at the end to remove any bits.
- 1 Chopping board
- 1 Knife
Ingredients
- 2 medium (130g) carrots
- 1 large (100g) apple
- 1/2 large (250g) cucumber
- 1 large (170g) orange
- 1 medium (70g) lemon
- 1/2 tsp tumeric powder
- 150 ml water (only if using a blender)
Instructions
- Wash and chop all produce.
- Insert produce one at a time into the juicer.
- Enjoy over ice. – May be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days.
If using a blender:
- Chop all the produce into small chunks and blend with the water.
- Once blended, sieve the juice to remove the lumps and serve over ice.
