Ingredients

To make this low calorie berry crumble you will need:
Mixed berries – I used fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries but you can use a mix of any of your favorite berries or even just one. You can also use an equal amount of frozen berries.
Lemon juice – A little lemon juice cuts the sweetness of the berries and adds a zesty layer to this crumble.
Stevia – You can opt for any 0 calorie granulated sweetener for this recipe but stevia is my recommendation.
Plain/all-purpose flour – To make the crumble you’ll need good ol’ plain/all-purpose flour. Opt for a gluten-free flour to make this recipe gluten-free.
Oats – To add a little crunch and texture to the crumble.
Low-fat butter – I used Flora lighter to bind the crumble together but unsweetened applesauce works great too.

How to make a low calorie single serve berry crumble
This crumble is actually so easy to throw together! You only need around 30 minutes to have this delicious dessert ready. You can easily prep in the same dish you will bake it in.
- Pre-heat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Toss the berries, lemon juice and stevia together in a small bowl. Once the berries are nicely coated, transfer to a 9cm ramekin dish.
- To make the crumble topping, mix together the flour, stevia, oats, cinnamon and applesauce until you get a fine crumbly texture.
- Add the topping to the berries and bake for 25 minutes.
- Allow the crumble to cool slightly in the ramekin before serving warm. Enjoy!
Top tips
Toss frozen berries in a little flour – If you’re using frozen berries, toss them in a little flour. This will add a few extra calories but it will improve the texture so much. The berries will come out thick and almost jam-like in texture!
Eat warm – This berry crumble is made to be eaten warm (duh) but don’t let it cool too much. I like to give it a few minutes to cool just so it doesn’t burn my mouth.
Top with ice cream – I loveee this crumble with some low calorie ice cream. I typically go for the Halo Top birthday cake flavor. I know it sounds like it doesn’t pair well but trust me, it is such delicious combo!

I am anxious to try the single serve berry crumble! If I make it into four ramekins, can I store the remaining in the refrigerator?
Hi Christine, you can definitely make them ahead. I would suggest preparing them ahead in their ramekins and secure tightly with plastic wrap, I wouldn’t leave them for more than 3 days in fridge so 3 servings may be better than 4. Only bake them on the day you want to eat them. Hope that helps!
