The ingredients in this easy low calorie ultra creamy prawn pasta
- Whole-wheat penne – Penne is the best pasta to pair with this creamy pasta sauce. Whole-wheat pasta has a denser texture than regular pasta and it helps you stay full for longer. Feel free to swap out for any pasta of your choosing.
- Olive oil – Olive oil is perfect for giving the prawns a soft but crunchy texture.
- Peeled prawns – Prawns are very low in calories and add a delicious crunch to this recipe. Fresh prawns work best with this recipe.
- Tomato passata – Tomato passata is a thinner version of tomato paste. It has a much milder taste which helps the creaminess of the pasta sauce really come through.
- Pasta water – Make sure to reserve about 125ml (1/2 cup) of pasta water before draining.
- Light cream cheese – Light cream cheese is low in calories but still has a delicious cheesy taste.
- Seasonings – Use vegetable stock powder, garlic powder, coriander powder and dried parsley to season this pasta sauce to perfection.
