Ingredients

To make this low calorie cinnamon roll for one you will need:
- Self-raising flour – This recipe calls for self-raising flour. You can also substitute this with all-purpose or plain flour and baking powder. To make this recipe gluten-free, use gluten-free flour or oat flour.
- Yogurt – This recipe calls for full fat yogurt. To make this cinnamon roll vegan, opt for vegan yogurt.
- Stevia or granulated sweetener – Any granulated sweetener will work for this recipe. Stevia is my personal favorite and is the closest in taste to sugar.
- Ground cinnamon – No cinnamon roll recipe is complete without cinnamon.
- Applesauce – Applesauce is a great alternative to fats like butter/oil and eggs. It helps develop that soft and gooey cinnamon roll texture we love. You can replace the applesauce with butter but the calories will be higher.
- Philadelphia lightest cream cheese – Philadelphia lightest cream cheese is super low in calories whilst still being creamy. If you are unable to get your hands on it, you can opt for light cream cheese which will add a few extra calories. For a vegan alternative, use vegan cream cheese.
- 0 calorie icing sugar – Only a small amount of icing sugar is needed so you can definitely use regular icing sugar if you’re unable to find a 0 calorie alternative.

Top tips
Use leveled spoon measurements – If you’re using spoon measurements for this recipe, be sure to use leveled measurements. There is a definite difference between a heaped tablespoon of yogurt and a leveled tablespoon of yogurt. For best results, make sure you level level level!
Cut the ends off – For a perfect and even cinnamon roll, cut the ends off before rolling up the cinnamon roll.
Cut the dough in half – To make a thick cinnamon roll, cut the dough down the 4 inch side, roll and then place over the other half and roll again. This yields a thick and fluffy cinnamon roll.
