To make this low calorie cheese & tomato pizza you will need:
Crust – The low calorie crust for this pizza is so easy to make without any kneading, yeast or waiting around for dough to rise. Plus, it’s made from 4 simple everyday ingredients! All you need is self-raising flour, 0% fat Greek yogurt, olive oil and salt. This low calorie cheese pizza has just 150 calories and is a perfect gluten-free alternative!
Tomato paste – I find that making my own pizza sauce not only keeps the calories low but it also tastes way better. It’s also very easy to do. You can use store bought pizza sauce here too. You’ll need around 50g for this pizza.
Seasonings to taste – To season the pizza sauce. You can add any seasonings you’d like but I would recommend keeping it simple with a little vegetable stock powder, garlic powder and dried parsley.
Light cheddar cheese or mozzarella – You can opt for any low-fat cheese to top your pizza. I went with a blend of low-fat mozzarella and light red leicester cheese. So it may not look like I have a ton of cheese on the pizza but it’s just because I used a bright orange cheese!

How to make low calorie cheese & tomato pizza
- Pre-heat oven to 200ºC. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
- Make the crust by combining the flour, salt, yogurt and olive oil. Fold until it starts to form a dough. I would recommend going in with your hands at this point to form it into a circle.
- Transfer the dough to a flat surface, sprinkle with a little flour and roll out to form a 8-10 inch circle. Transfer the rolled out dough onto the baking tray lined with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Make the sauce by mixing together the tomato paste and seasonings until well combined. If you prefer a thinner pizza sauce, add a little water until you reach your desired consistency.
- Spread the sauce on the dough leaving a little space around the edges. Top with the shredded cheese, place in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing and tucking in!
