Plus, they’re great for avoiding the temptation of overeating because let’s be real, if I’m making an entire batch of cookies, I’m not just eating one cookie! This low calorie single serve cookie is soft with crispy edges and chocolate chips throughout and tastes just like the real deal! You won’t feel like you’re missing out at all 😉

Cookies are one of my favorite desserts of all time and I actually really grew to appreciate them more when I was in a calorie deficit. They can easily be made lower in calories, they take under 10 minutes to bake and are so satisfying! These low calorie chocolate chip cookies are well loved on my blog and although they make a small batch of just 3 cookies, sometimes you just need one! Especially if you’re the kind of person that loves to go back for seconds (talking to myself mostly). This recipe makes one single serve cookie that tastes just as delicious as a regular chocolate chip cookie but comes together in under 15 minutes for just 111 calories!

To make this low calorie single serve chocolate chip cookie you will need:
Philadelphia lightest – The secret ingredient in this cookie is cream cheese! It holds the cookie together and adds a little moisture which creates the softest cookie! You can use low-fat cream cheese if you can’t get ahold of Philadelphia lightest (equivalent to 3% fat cream cheese).
0 calorie brown sugar – A staple in any low calorie cookie recipe. You can opt for any 0 calorie granulated sweetener here but be mindful of the conversion.
Vanilla extract – No cookie is complete without vanilla – not even a single serve cookie!
Plain/all-purpose flour – You can opt for gluten-free flour or oat flour here for a gluten-free alternative.
Baking soda – To help the cookie spread.
Salt – A pinch to bring out the chocolate flavor.
Dark chocolate chips – You can opt for any chocolate chips you’d like but dark chocolate chips are the superior chip in cookies!

How to make this single serve cookie
- Pre-heat oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Line a small baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, 0 calorie brown sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the flour, salt, baking soda and chocolate chips and fold until well combined.
- Form the dough into a ball and flatten slightly. Place onto the baking tray and bake for 8 minutes.
- Allow the cookie to cool on the tray for a few minutes, sprinkle with a little salt and enjoy!

How do I store this cookie to make ahead?
This is a single serve cookie and doesn’t need to be stored. Just make when you’re ready to eat as it is super simple and takes no more than 15 minutes from start to finish! What can I replace the cream cheese with?
I have tried several different alternatives and applesauce is going to be your best bet when substituting the cream cheese in this recipe. You can use 0% fat yogurt in a pinch but the cookie can come out really soft and fall apart easily.
Can I make this cookie in an air-fryer?
You can! Follow the recipe to make the cookie and then bake as follows:
- Pre-heat air fryer to 150°C (300°F).
- Place the cookie on a piece of parchment paper and bake for about 5 minutes.
- Cool the cookie on the parchment paper for 1-3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
