- Baking soda – A little baking soda is used in this recipe to help the cookies spread.
- Unsweetened applesauce – Applesauce is a great alternative to eggs and butter. This helps keep the calories super low whilst holding the cookies in shape!
- Olive oil – A small amount of olive oil is used in this recipe to help keep the cookie intact and give it a soft and chewy texture. You can swap out olive oil for any oil you would prefer.
- Vanilla extract – No cookie recipe is complete without a little vanilla!
- Dark chocolate chips – I used regular dark chocolate chips. For an even lower calorie and completely sugar-free cookie, you can use sugar-free chocolate chips!
