To make these low calorie yogurt jam bites you will need:
- Frozen berries – Frozen berries work best for this recipe. You can also opt for fresh berries but it may take a little longer to get them to set. As for the type of berries, feel free to use any berry or mix of berries you like! I used a mix of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.
- 0 calorie brown sugar or stevia – Any 0 calorie sweetener will work for this recipe. A little goes a long way in adding some sweetness to the berries!
- Lemon juice – Lemon juice and berries go together so perfectly. It adds a nice tangy flavor to balance out the sweetness of the berries.
- Yogurt – The yogurt will coat the berries. I opted for low fat yogurt as it is lower in calories than full-fat yogurt but it still has a little fat so it can add some creaminess and texture! Opt for vegan yogurt for a vegan alternative.
- Maple syrup – You can opt for a 0 calorie syrup here but a small amount of syrup is needed to sweeten the yogurt. You can also try a flavored yogurt and skip this step.
- Chocolate – This completely optional but I love to drizzle a little chocolate over the jam bites!
