To make this low calorie strawberry milkshake you will need:
Frozen strawberries – I used store bought frozen strawberries but you can freeze your own strawberries too. I wouldn’t recommend using fresh strawberries for this recipe as it won’t be thick and creamy, it’ll be more of a smoothie consistency.
Unsweetened almond milk – Unsweetened almond milk has the smallest number of calories in any milk. It tastes pretty great too! You can use any milk of your choosing here but the calories will differ. For a really thick and creamy milkshake, I would recommend oat milk or cashew milk. Both are still dairy-free and delicious!
0 calorie syrup – This 0 calorie vanilla syrup is my go-to for cold drinks. It tastes really great and doesn’t have that bitter aftertaste some 0 calorie syrups of. You can obviously use any 0 calorie syrup flavor, but vanilla would be my recommendation. You can also use strawberry syrup for extra strawberry flavor.
How to make a low calorie strawberry milkshake
This milkshake is ready in less than five minutes and is as easy as 1,2,3! You only need a blender and 3 ingredients to whip up your own delicious milkshake. I would recommend a high powered blender that is able to blend frozen fruit. But if you don’t have this, you can also use a food processor.
- Add the frozen strawberries, milk and syrup to a blender and blend on high until smooth. This took about 3 minutes for me.
- Pour the milkshake into your favorite large glass, top with strawberries or whip cream and enjoy!
