  1. Hi, I would love to try making these but I don’t have any 0 calorie brown sugar for the filling. do you think if I used a drizzle of honey over the rolled dough (along with the apple sauce and cinnamon), it would work? I also don’t have low-fat cream cheese, but I was thinking of replacing it with yogurt.

    1. Hey Ally,

You can use honey, cinnamon and maybe reduce the applesauce – add little by little until you have a spreadable consistency.

You can use yogurt instead of cream cheese if that’s what you have available but it may be thinner in texture and taste a little more tart. Hope you enjoy nonetheless!

Incredible and SO soft. When you’re on a low sugar diet, these make it feel like you’re cheating without the guilt 🙂

Not sure if the author will see this, but curious if you could make with swerve or Splenda sweetener in the dough instead of actual sugar? Unsure if the sugar is needed for the dough to rise 🙂

The best low calorie cinnamon rolls I have made! They are soft and fluffy just like regular cinnamon rolls. The only thing I will say is they go dry after about 2 days but I froze the leftovers.

I’ve made these once, I have to say these were the softest, tastiest rolls ever! They will definitely be a regular bake in our house, thank you Samira.
