If you love pizza and are on a weight loss journey, this recipe is the perfect recipe for you! This low calorie pepperoni pizza is not only under 500 calories for the entire pizza, but it is so so easy to make and is ready from start to finish in under 30 minutes!
75gself-raising flour*plus an extra 5g for rolling out
70gfat-free yogurt
1tspolive oil
sprinkle of salt
Pizza sauce:
50gtomato paste
⅛tspvegetable stock powder
½tspdried parsley
½tspgarlic powder
½tspmaple syrup
Toppings:
30glight/reduced fat cheese
15gpepperoni slices
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 200ºC.
Make the crust by combining the flour, salt, yogurt and olive oil. Fold until it starts to form a dough. I would recommend going in with your hands at this point to form it into a circle.
Transfer the dough to a flat surface, sprinkle with a little flour and roll out to form a 8-10 inch circle. Transfer the rolled out dough onto a round pizza tray lined with parchment paper. Set aside.
Make the sauce by mixing together the tomato paste, seasonings and maple syrup until well combined. If you prefer a thinner pizza sauce, add a little water until you reach your desired consistency.
Spread the sauce on the dough leaving a little space around the edges. Top with the shredded cheese and pepperoni. Place in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing and tucking in!
