FAQ's

Can I use oat flour instead of oats?
You definitely can use oat flour instead of oats for this recipe. Use an equal amount of oat flour and skip the blending. Instead, mix everything together in a medium bowl before transferring to an oven-safe dish. Bake according to the recipe.
Can I microwave this recipe?
Yes! This recipe can be made in the microwave which cuts down the baking time by a huge amount. Follow the recipe as stated but transfer the batter to a microwave safe dish and microwave on high for 1-3 minutes depending on your microwave. You can check to see if the baked oats are ready by inserting a toothpick into the center - if the toothpick comes out with just a few crumbs, it's ready!
Do I need to use a blender?
You don't need to use a blender but the texture is much smoother and cake-like when you blend the oats. If you don't want to blend the oats, you can just mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and transfer to an oven-safe dish - bake according to the recipe.
