For the frosting:

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 200°C (392°F).

  • Make the filling by mixing the applesauce, stevia and cinnamon. Spread this across the dough.
  • Roll the dough up by cutting the dough down the 4 inch side, rolling up one of the halves and placing it on top of the other half and rolling up again.
  • Place the cinnamon roll into a 7-ounce ramekin dish, brush the sides with a little milk and bake for 15 minutes. Cool for at at least 5 minutes.
  • Make the frosting by mixing together the cream cheese and 0 calorie icing sugar until smooth. Spread the frosting onto the cinnamon roll and enjoy!

Notes

*Flour - You can use 4 tbsp all-purpose/plain flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder to substitute self-raising flour.
*Yogurt - Any yogurt will work for this recipe as long as it is full fat. This recipe contains almost no fat otherwise and so you won't get as soft and fluffy of a cinnamon roll.
* Philadelphia lightest cream cheese - You can use any cream cheese if you are unable to find this one, but the calories will differ slightly.
